A new edition of Marida Maio, the Apehl wine and gastronomy events in the Ribeira Sacra, gets underway

The southern branch of the Provincial Association of Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurs of Lugo (Apehl) is already preparing the third edition of the spring event Marida Maio, a series of wine and gastronomy experiences in the Ribeira Sacra, sponsored by the Provincial Council of Lugo. The events will take place at the Ribeira Sacra Wine Centre in Monforte de Lemos on Thursdays, May 14, 21 and 28.
As in previous years, these three events will feature presentations of wines from participating wineries, paired with tapas from various hospitality establishments. Companies linked to heritage, art and tourism will also take part, showcasing their services.
The sessions, which will include live music, will last around an hour and a half, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm, and admission is free. However, attendance is limited to 30 people per day, so prior registration is required by calling +34 982 412 050.
The first event will be held on Thursday the 14th and will feature Cova do Xacio, Manuel Bistró, Bodega Ohmio, Restaurante Río Cabe–Hotel Cardenal and Gundivós: Tradition, Art and Heritage, with potter Elías González (Centro Oleiro Rectoral de Gundivós) and Casa–Museo Genia Trigo.
On Thursday, May 21, participants will include Tributo–Capitol, Bodega Alouviño, Artesanía de Galicia represented by Pilar Rodríguez from “En Lá”, Museo Lodeiro, Bodega Cruceiro and Catamarán Río Sil.
Finally, the event on Thursday the 28th will feature Barvantia, Coureleando, Hotel-Restaurante Hermida Rural, Bodega Os Cipreses and Bodega Instinto Romano.
The City Council of Monforte de Lemos and the Ribeira Sacra Wine Centre are also collaborating in this event.
