Apehl starts the 2026 edition of Marida Maio, the wine and gastronomic tourism sessions of the Ribeira Sacra

The southern delegation of the Provincial Association of Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurs of Lugo (Apehl) launched the third edition of the spring festival Marida Maio this Thursday, May 14. These wine and gastronomic tourism sessions in the Ribeira Sacra, sponsored by the Lugo Provincial Council, take place at the Ribeira Sacra Wine Centre in Monforte de Lemos. The next events are scheduled for the last two Thursdays of the month, on the 21st and 28th.
The meetings allow the participating wineries to present their wine products with tapas from different hospitality establishments in the area. They are joined by companies from the tourism, art and heritage sectors to present their services to attendees, who can enter free of charge until capacity is reached.
This Thursday’s session, held from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., featured the participating wineries Cova do Xacio and Bodega Ohmio, accompanied by the establishments Manuel Bistró and Restaurante Río Cabe-Hotel Cardenal. The event was accompanied musically by soloist Isi Castañer. The cultural contribution was completed by the Sober-based entity Casa-Museo Genia Trigo and potter Elías González, from the Rectoral de Gundivós Pottery Centre.
For next May 21, the event will feature Bodega Cruceiro, Bodega Alouviño, Tributo–Capitol, Catamarán Río Sil, Museo Lodeiro and the Artesanía de Galicia label through Pilar Rodríguez from “En Lá”. The Monforte de Lemos City Council and the Ribeira Sacra Wine Centre are also collaborating in this event.
